Why it matters

Corroded metal does not always need replacement

Rust, pinholes, fine cracks, and surface damage can shorten the life of metal equipment, housings, pans, frames, doors, posts, and other non-submerged metal surfaces. V570 is a two-part epoxy repair coating designed to help seal damaged areas and form a durable protective barrier against further corrosion.

Benefits

Key benefits

Focus on outcomes that matter to operators and maintenance teams: cleaner operation, preserved performance, fewer complaints, and less maintenance churn.

Two-part epoxy strength

Uses a two-part epoxy system to create a durable repair coating for non-submerged metal surfaces exposed to corrosion.

Rolls onto difficult surfaces

Applies with a roller or brush to vertical, elevated, slanted, curved, round, underside, or uneven metal surfaces.

Helps seal cracks and pinholes

Helps repair fine cracks and pinholes up to 25 mils to reduce leak points and restore surface integrity.

  • Protects non-submerged metal: Forms a tough protective barrier for metal surfaces exposed to corrosion but not continuously submerged in water.
  • Standalone or system use: Can be used independently for corrosion protection or as the repair stage before Pancrete resurfacing in drain pan restoration.
  • Extends equipment life: Helps restore damaged metal and reduce costly replacement when repair is the preferred option.
Comparison

Choose the Right Product for the Repair

Use this section to clarify when V570 should be used independently and when it should be paired with Clean Bond and Pancrete.

Use V570 When

The surface needs roll-on epoxy repair, sealing, or corrosion protection.

  • Vertical, curved, slanted, round, or uneven metal
  • Non-submerged metal needing protection
  • Fine cracks or pinholes up to 25 mils

Use Pancrete When

A drain pan or basin needs a poured resurfacing layer after proper cleaning and repair.

  • Drain pan bottoms
  • Horizontal resurfacing areas
  • Final smooth drainage surface

Use the Full System When

A damaged drain pan needs cleaning, repair, and final resurfacing for longer-term restoration.

  • Clean Bond prepares the surface
  • V570 seals damaged areas and sidewalls
  • Pancrete creates the final drainage surface
Application

How it works

Important: V570 is supplied as Part A and Part B and must be mixed before application. Once mixed, the epoxy system begins setting in approximately 20 minutes at 75°F and may harden in the container within 30 minutes. Complete all surface preparation before mixing, apply immediately after mixing, and do not mix partial quantities.
Step-by-step
  1. Shut down the system before coating begins.
  2. Read the full technical instructions and SDS before beginning work.
  3. Remove loose rust, dirt, crumbled cement, and other loose material from the surface completely.
  4. If grease is present, wash the surface with Clean Bond and allow it to dry.
  5. Avoid coating screws, bolts, or removable parts that may need to be accessed later.
  6. Complete all surface preparation before mixing Part A and Part B.
  7. Stir Part B before mixing. Pour Part A into Part B and mix thoroughly until no clear streaks remain.
  8. Mix full containers only. Mixing partial quantities is not recommended.
  9. Apply V570 immediately after mixing using a roller or brush.
  10. Coat vertical, curved, slanted, round, underside, or uneven metal surfaces as needed.
  11. Allow the epoxy coating to cure fully before returning the surface to service or proceeding to Pancrete.
Where it fits

Ideal for HVAC metal surfaces exposed to rust and corrosion, including drain pan sidewalls, housings, frames, ducts, pipes, and other non-submerged metal components. V570 may also be used on suitable non-submerged metal surfaces outside HVAC applications, such as metal doors, posts, signs, and similar metal areas where roll-on epoxy corrosion protection or repair is needed.

  • Standalone epoxy corrosion protection on non-submerged metal
  • Vertical metal surface restoration
  • Curved, slanted, round, underside, or irregular metal repairs
  • Drain pan sidewall repair before Pancrete resurfacing
  • Corroded HVAC housings, frames, ducts, pipes, and metal components
  • Suitable non-submerged metal doors, posts, signs, and similar metal surfaces

Questions

FAQs

Answers to common questions about standalone use, Pancrete comparison, mixing, working time, and application surfaces.
What does V570 do?
V570 is a two-part epoxy repair coating that helps repair and protect non-submerged metal surfaces by sealing fine cracks and pinholes while forming a barrier against rust and corrosion.
Is V570 only for HVAC?
V570 was designed for HVAC metal repair, but it may also be used on suitable non-submerged metal surfaces outside HVAC applications, such as metal doors, posts, signs, and similar metal areas.
Is V570 the same as Pancrete?
No. V570 is a two-part epoxy roll-on repair coating for non-submerged metal surfaces. Pancrete is a poured resurfacing material used as the final drainage surface in drain pans and basins.
Can V570 be used by itself?
Yes. V570 can be used independently on non-submerged metal surfaces that need corrosion protection, sealing, or repair.
Where should V570 not be used?
V570 is intended for non-submerged metal surfaces. It should not be used on surfaces that will remain continuously submerged in water.
Does V570 need to be mixed before use?
Yes. V570 is supplied as Part A and Part B and must be mixed before application. Surface preparation should be completed before mixing.
How long do I have to work with V570 after mixing?
V570 has a limited working time. It begins setting in approximately 20 minutes at 75°F and may harden in the container within 30 minutes after mixing. Always complete surface preparation before mixing and apply immediately.
Can I mix only part of the container?
Mixing partial quantities is not recommended. V570 should be mixed as full Part A and Part B containers according to the technical instructions.
How does V570 fit into drain pan restoration?
V570 can be used as the repair and barrier stage in the Clean Bond → V570 → Pancrete restoration workflow. It is applied after surface preparation and before Pancrete when damaged areas need additional sealing or protection.
